John David Guevara is serving in his first term as a School Board Trustee.  He is the current Secretary of the Board.

Mr. Guevara graduated from Harlingen High School in 1982.  He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Brownsville and a Juris Doctorate degree from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law.  He is a partner with the law firm of Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson.

Mr. Guevara and his wife Joanne have been married for 19 years .  They both believe in being active in the community and have volunteered their time as scout leaders, members of several school district committees and have worked as band booster volunteers.  They have two children, Jacquelyn who is a Senior at Rio Hondo High School and Jeffrey, who is an Eight grader at Rio Hondo Junior High.

Mr. Guevara is a strong advocate of the public school system and is genuinely interested in the future success of all children of the school district.  His role as a School District Trustee is to help insure that success by providing a safe, structured, quality learning environment for our children.
