Mr. Rolando Alfaro has served on the School Board for the past twelve years, and has acquired over 220 hours of board training.  Rolando graduated from Rio Hondo High School in 1982 and thereafter received an Associates' Degree in Computer Maintenance Technology.

Mr. Alfaro has been employed with Unifirst Linen as a Sales Manager for the past twenty years.  His wife, Letty, is employed with Harlingen CISD.  Rolando and Letty have two wonderful children, Jenni, who is a freshman at Texas A&M Corpus Christi and R.J., who is a junior at Rio Hondo High.

Rolando has been involved with the Boys and Girls Club for many years coaching football, basketball, baseball and softball.  Additionally, he has served as a Board Member of the Rio Hondo Pony League.

Mr. Alfaro is a strong advocate for "No Child Left Behind", in that he believes every child should be afforded with every available resource in order to ensure their educational success.
