AGENDA F= OR A CALLED MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE RIO HONDO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT ON MONDAY, January 23, 2006, AT 5:30 P.M., IN THE

ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, 215 W. COLORADO STREET, RIO HONDO,  TEXAS.

1. Call to Order by Presiding Officer.

2. Verify Quorum Present and Meeting Agen= da Posted as Required by Law.  

3.  Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

4. Consider Adopting Resolution that Calls for School Board Trustees Elections for the Second 

     Saturday in May 2006, for Place 4 and Place 5.  (Exhibit 4)

5. Consider Designating Business Office as Early Voting Polling Place and Appointing Early 

     Voting Election Clerks.  (Exhibit 5)

6. Consider Nominations and the Appointment of t= he Judge for Election Day, and Allow Judge to=  

  &nb= sp; Appoint Three Election Clerks for the May 13, 2006, School Trustees Election.        

 

7. Closed Session or Meeting as authorize= d by Section 551.001 et seq of the Texas Government    

     Code (The Open Meetings Act), under the following provisions:

           

•Executive Session purs= uant to Section 551.071 of the Texas Open Meetings Act – Consultation  

  with Attorney regarding pending or contemplated litigation, and regarding any matter in which

  the duty of the Attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of <= /p>
