      Items 1 & = 2 Mrs. Garza called the meeti= ng to order at 5:30 p.m., after noting a quorum was

    present and that the meeting notice had been posted as required by law.<= /span>

    Item 3    &= nbsp;   Mrs. Garza led in the Pledge = of Allegiance.

      Item 4       A motion was made by Mr. Serra to Adopt Resolution that Calls for School Board Trustees Elections for the Second Saturday in May 2006, for Place 4 and Pla= ce 5. Seconded by Mrs. Alaniz, t= he motion carried unanimously.

      Item 5       A motion was made by Mr. Rolando Alfaro to designate the Business Office as E= arly Voting Polling Place and Appoint Florence Landry, Janie Ramos, Ronald De La Garza, Esmeralda Sanchez, and Hilda Rendon as Early Voting Election Clerks. Seconded by Mrs. Lope= z, the motion carried unanimously. <= o:p>

      Item 6       After nominations were considered, a motion was made by Mrs. Alaniz to appoint Mr. Oved Guajardo as the Judge for Election Day, and to allow the Judge to appo= int three Election Clerks for the May 13, 2006, School Trustees Election. The motion was seconded by Mr. Serra. Votes in favor: Mrs. Alaniz, Mr. Hernandez, and Mr. Serra. Votes opposed: Mr. Rene Alfaro, Mr. Rolando Alfar= o, Mrs. Garza, and Mrs. Lopez. T= he motion did not carry.

      = ;            &n= bsp;     A motion was made by Mrs. Garza to appoint Mrs. Mary Ann Gusler as the Judge = for Election Day, and to allow the Judge to appoint three Election Clerks for t= he May 13, 2006, School Trustees Election.&nb= sp; The motion was seconded by Mr. Rene Alfaro. Votes in favor: Mr. Rene Alfaro, Mr. Rolando Alfar= o, Mrs. Garza, Mr. Hernandez, and Mrs. Lopez.= Votes opposed: Mrs. Al= aniz and Mr. Serra. The motion carried= .



      Item 7       Mrs. Garza closed the regular session at 5:42 p.m. to discuss personnel matters.   The         &= nbsp;

               &= nbsp;        regular session resumed at 7:20 p.m. Personnel items were as follows:
