·         Winterguard

Congratulations to the Rio Hondo Winterguard who were 1st place winners once again at the Mathis High School TECA Winterguard Contest.  The guard scored a 69.5 which was more than 7 points above the second place guard, Nikki Rowe from McAllen.  The guard will compete this Saturday, March 7th at Jourdanton High School.  This will be the guard’s last competition before the TECA Championships in San Antonio on March 28th.

·         Good Luck to the 7 All-State Band students that will performing at the TMEA Convention and Concert. The TMEA Convention begins on Wednesday February 11, and ends on Saturday February 14.

 

·         Rio Hondo HS Band had 28 students participate in the ATSSB Region 15/28 All-Region Band Concert held at Donna HS Auditorium on Saturday January 24, 2009!
